I moved back to back to Rapid City after 4 years in Southern California where I added to my 10 years of experience in finance/mortgage lending. I'm excited to be a part of the Rushmore Mortgage team and have a heart for and a special focus on educating young adults, singles, women and minorities about the relative ease and amazing benefits of home ownership. I'm a graduate of Douglas High School and lived in the Ellsworth Air Force Base community since the age of 11 when my father, Msgt. William L. (Reggie) Hammond (Ret.) was stationed here in 1987 with myself, my mother Bettyanne and two younger brothers Robert and Brandon.
I began my career in finance/credit at age 18 as a customer service representative for a credit card company and purchased my first home in Rapid City at the age of 22, which further influenced my decision to work in the finance/mortgage industry. At the same time, I was also involved in the foster care system as a licensed foster parent through the State of South Dakota and Black Hills Children's Home. Through this experience I became, at the age of 26, the proud and grateful adoptive mother of my son Ethan, who was 10 at the time. I consider him one of my greatest blessings! Currently, I am a member of Black Hills Chapel Gospel Service at Ellsworth AFB, active as needed in the Children's Ministry. My son is a bright and active 14-year-old, involved in choir, basketball, track and cross country.

I'm happy to be back with my family in Rapid City, where my father chose to settle after retiring from the Air Force, and hope to become a bridge from Ellsworth to Rapid City in the area of Home Ownership and its many wonderful benefits!
